You can see from this series of photos that this deck was built on unlevel terrain. The lawn will be leveled up and landscaping will hide the exposed concrete blocks. The driveway will be re-covered very close to the bottom steps.

Due to the extreme elevation of the doors, two layers were built to lessen the grade of stairs and make it feel more like a deck than just a porch.
